Landscaping & Garden Redesign
Our expert team get may jobs for Landscaping and Garden Redesign this is a case study of one of them. The customer wanted a low maintenance outdoor space that included some planting, decking, patio and artificial grass. The design involved splitting the garden in to 3 distinct sections.
The Boardway team started by digging out the old lawn and laid new field drains to ensure any excess water drains away and therefore prevent any water logging. Raised beds were then constructed from pressure treated sleepers at either side of the garden. They then applied a heavy duty weed control membrane over the entire area to ensure no weeds can grow through whilst allowing rainwater to get through to the soil. Next they lay down a layer of type one hardcore and levelled with a whacker plate, this gives a stable base for the entire garden area.
A new decking frame was built along the rear of the garden and patio flag stones layed on a cement mix at the front, adjacent to the house and then the artificial grass was fitted on a granite screed in the middle. The decking boards were then fixed to the frame and the job was complete.
